Fruit Wines Fenn Valley Vineyards is the oldest family owned winery in Michigan. Located in the Located right in the middle of the west Michigan fruit belt, it is only natural that the first wines to be produced at Fenn Valley were fruit wines which included Cherry, Black (sweet) Cherry, Pear, Apple, Blueberry, Peach, Strawberry and Plum. Our winemaker has gained considerable experience at the art of fruit wine making, and the fruit wines that are still made today by Fenn Valley are among the best that can be found anywhere. We consider our best fruit wine to be the Raspberry, which has been judged the “standard” by which many wine enthusiasts evaluate a fruit wine. Today we focus on three fruits that consistently produce outstanding quality wines The Cherry and the Blueberry are made to finish slightly sweet while the Raspberry is nearly dry and is a “wine-drinker’s fruit wine.” Both the Cherry and the Blueberry can be served by themselves as an aperitif or poured over ice for a refreshing summer cooler. The Raspberry adds an elegant touch to a chocolate dessert such as a dark chocolate truffle or a chocolate mousse, or marinate cubed fresh fruit in the Raspberry wine for several hours and serve up a simple and healthy dessert. |
